Chlorination System |
| |
The need arises for this unit when levels of Hydrogen Sulphide, Iron, Manganese or Facial Coliforms are high.
This system is an effective means of dosing chlorine into a water treatment system and allowing contact time. It is used as a pre-treatment to filtration units |
| |
 |
| |
| The system comprises the following components: |
| |
- Pulsing head water meter which sends a volt free signal (for every 10 liters of water flow) to a chemical dosing pump to activate the dosing of chlorine.
- Dosing pump which, when activated by the water meter, will dose a set amount of chlorine into the water. This amount is set by your installer on our advice.
- Chemical dosing tank for the storage of chlorine, which is graduated for measured dilution of concentrated chlorine.
- A contact vessel which is sized to suit site specific conditions such as levels of contamination and existing pump size. This vessel has a non-return valve fitted on the inlet to ensue that no chlorinated water can flow back to the incoming water source.
- A stand for the dosing tank.
- All items in contact with chlorine, or heavy chlorinated water are manufactured from chemical resistant materials.
