RUBY TWIN FILTER.

FOR HAEVY METAL REMOVAL

The Ruby:
The Ruby is a twin filter system with two 10” x 2.5” filter elements.
(the 2.5” diameter, is larger than the usual under sink filters)
This will allow this system to handle waters with much higher contaminant content and will also mean less frequent change-outs
The water firstly flows through a Pre-Filter which removes large sediment, and then the water flows through a Carbon Block where contaminants as with the Water Gem are absorbed.
This Carbon Block also contains a Heavy metal removal media which removes metals such as Lead and filters down to 0.5 micron.
At this micron level this system will block 99.95% Cryptosporidium oocysts.

The Sapphire:
The Sapphire is a twin filter system with an Ultra-Violet Sterilizer added. As with the Ruby, it is designed to handle the more difficult waters with the reassurance of microbial protection.
The water firstly flows through a Pre-Filter, which removes large sediment, and then the water flows through a Carbon Block where contaminants as with the Water Gem are absorbed.

This Carbon Block also contains a Heavy metal removal media, which removes metals such as Aluminium and filters down to 0.5 micron.

PLATINUM PUMPED R.O. FILTER.

The Platinum is a true water purification system in that it uses Reverse Osmosis to rid the water of impurities. (See following sheet “What is reverse osmosis”)
The water is brought from the mains via the saddle valve and enters the system through a 5 micron pre-filter which removes large sediment.

The water pressure is increased via an in-built pump and is pumped through two 1 micron carbon filters which remove Chlorine, Chemicals, Herbicides,
Pesticides, Taste, Colour and Odours.

The water is then forced through the R.O. membrane and into the storage tank.
This storage tank has a 15 liter capacity to ensure a constant supply of purified water.

When the faucet is opened water is drawn from the storage tank and flows through a polishing activated carbon filter.

HIGH USAGE FILTRATION

Some facilities such as Hospitals, Schools have a high usage of chilled water.
While there is no problem sizing the chiller, such as the Emerald 80 or the AB 400 U the standard filtration systems may require too frequent filter change outs.
This may lead to filters being left in line for to long and thus leading to deterioration in the water quality.
