FAUCETS AND SADDLE VALVES

Faucets:
Clarwick offer a range of faucets to suit any installation from the standard short reach chrome faucet (FC01), coloured faucets (FC02), long reach
faucets (FC03) and the stylish FC04 faucet.

Saddle Valves:
Saddle valves allow systems to be installed by the D.I.Y. enthusiast without the need to find stop-cocks and turning off the water supply. The assembly is simply clamped around the mains cold water pipe and when installed, a simple turn of the valve will pierce a hole in the pipe.

SV01:
¼” valve.

SV02:
¼” high flow valve.

SV03:
3/8” valve.

SV04:
 ½” valve.

Installation: Water_Gem_install.jpg (10919 bytes)
While the following instructions are for the installation of the Water Gem, it clearly shows how to mount the Saddle Valve and Drinking Faucet (Chrome Tap). With this achieved the installation of any of the five systems is a simple matter of connecting clearly marked inlet and outlet connections.
Decide where to locate the chrome tap on the sink surface. It is usual to mount the Faucet adjacent to the cold-water tap while ensuring that the spout is over the sink.
Drill a 1/2" hole in the chosen location and install and secure the assembly.

  1. See Diagram A.

Decide on the location under the sink, of the filter assembly.
Fix the mounting bracket to that location, usually to the sidewall or back
of the cupboard.
The filter should be mounted vertically.

  1. Connect the blue tubing to the end of the tap.
    See Diagram B:

  1. Cut both the red and blue tubes to the correct length and push firmly into the inlet (red tube) and outlet (blue tube) of the filter cartridge.

  1. Locate and tighten the self tapping saddle valve onto the incoming mainsSaddle Valve Install.jpg (15812 bytes) supply.
    See Diagram C:
This is the pipe feeding the cold tap.
Do not pierce the mains supply until the system is fully connected.

To Pierce the water pipe open the chrome tap and turn the self tapping saddle valve fully clockwise, then turn anti-clockwise to open. If there is low pressure at the chrome tap, this may mean that the saddle valve has not fully pierced the mains or the supply is not fully open. In this case repeat the procedure.

Before use flush at least 20 Liters of water through the system. The water may at first appear to be blackish in colour, this is normal and is simply
excess carbon being rinsed from the filter.

For use only on municipally treated water supplies.
Always run water until chill to touch.
Lift tap lever for continuous flow.
Minimum water pressure: 2 bar (30 psi)
Maximum water pressure 6 bar (85 psi)
