High Purity Filtration

The Memtrex range has four types of media in seven formations with ratings from 0.03 - 1 micron absolute.

MEMTREX NYNOL 66 (MNY):

The nylon 66 membrane has broad applications from harsh chemicals to strong solvents to D.I. water. Constructed with two layers of nylon 66 (pre and final membrane) with a polyester scrim this naturally hydrophilic media creates a superior cartridge to the MMP with enhansed life, 100% integrity tested, rinsed with D.I. water to allow only 12 mg per 10" of extractables (MMP allows 34 mg per 10") and flow versus pressure differentials from 35% to 75% better.

MEMTREX POLYETHERSULFONE (MMP):

The 0.2 micron version of the MMP is our most popular sub-micron cartridge due to its low cost and meeting the general requirments of most 0.2 micron pure water, acid, base and solvent filtration applications. Constructed using an asymmetric modified polyethersulfone membrane with a unique pore structure thus allowing broad chemical compatibility, low protein binding and high throughput with exact micron retention cut-offs to be achieved. Lot coded and integrity testable.

MEMTREX POLYETHERSULFONE - BEVERAGE GRADE (MMP-B):

Sharing the same characteristics as the MMP, with the added benefits of asymmetrical polypropylene pre-filter layer to extend the membrane life. Rinsed in hot RO water to reduce the extractables introduced by the wetting agent and integrity tested. Micron ratings for the removal of cysts, mould and bacteria for beverage applications. Each MMP-B cartridge is 100% integrity tested.

MEMTREX POLYETHERSULFONE-ELECTRONICS GRADE (MMP-E)

The MMP-E grade filter allows us to offer the highest purity modified polyethersulfone (PES) in today's micro-electronic market. These filters combine high throughput with exact micron retention cut-off. Construction features a modified asymmetric polyethersulfone membrane with polyethylene support and hardware. This provides very long service life for SEMI water in many microelectronics applications. These filters offer unique high-purity rinsing on each and every filter to reduce total anion, cation and trace metals below 1.0 ppb. TOC's are rinsed to below 5 ppb in 25 minutes.

MEMTREX POLYETHERSULFONE PHARMACEUTICAL STERILISING GRADE (MMP-S)

Of the same basic construction as the MMP but with two layers of membrane the MMP-S meets the HIMA guidelines for validation use and is designed for final sterile filtration of pharmaceutical products. The MMP-S is autoclavable at 1210C and steam-in-place at 1250C both for ten hours maximum. Each cartridge has a serial number and is 100% integrity tested with certification supplied. An Osmonics detailed Validation guide is available, documenting the rigorous testing procedures for your data records.

MEMTREX POLYPROPYLENE (MPM)

MPM filters are of 100% pure polypropylene construction utilising high flow, hydrophobic membranes ideal for aggressive gas, air and venting applications. With this high purity construction, compatibility with a wide range of aggressive chemical processes is also achieved. Rinsed in D.I. water, extractables are in the range of 6.25 mg.  Each cartridge is 100% integrity tested. Steam sterilising and autoclaving is not recommended for this cartridge.

MEMTREX PTFE(MFE) AND (MFE-S)

Constructed using a 100% PTFE membrane supported with polypropylene components, the MFE is designed for applications where other membrane media degrade due to incompatibility. Each cartridge having been rinsed in D.I. water has low extractables (7.7 mg/10") and is integrity tested. The MFE is very hydrophilic making it an excellent air, gas and vent filter.

MFE-S is validateble and sterilisation grade membrane and meets the HIMA guidelines for validation use and is designed for final sterile filtration of pharmaceutical products. Ideal for aggressive chemical resistance and venting applications, each cartridge has a serial number and is 100% integrity tested with certification supplied. An Osmonics detailed validation guide is available, documenting the rigorous testing procedures for your data records.
