Speciality Filters

We can offer a range of filter elements to deal with specific purposes, these include:

Deionisation:- For the manufacture of D.I. water.

Phosphate: - To reduce scale and rust build up.

Oil Absorption: - To remove dissolved oil from water.

Stainless steel cartridges: - for high pressure and high temperature.

DEIONIZATION FILTRATION

(High purity water for low volume applications)

PCF - SERIES

With this range we can meet the requirements of low volume users of high purity water. The FDA grade resin has been subjected to additional post-production steps to minimise the TOC (total organic carbon) level. These high-capacity, semiconductor grade resin cartridges are ideal for use in pharmaceuticals, medical, laboratory, cosmetics, and circuit board printing applications. They may also be used in applications where water comes in contact with living organisms, such as fish breeding and potable water applications and where low TOC and TDS (total dissolved solids) levels are required.

These cartridges last longer and produce the best quality of water when installed after a reverse osmosis or distillation system.

PHOSPHATE FILTERS:

This filter fits the slim line and standard industrial housing and act as full contact phosphate feeders. Water enters the filter and flows through food grade hexametephosphate which dissolves slowly in the water. This will help the following problems:

Scale: - hardness particles are kept suspended and will not drop out as scale deposits when heated.
NOTE;- Hardness must be < 250 ppm. Iron < 1 ppm, pH of 6.5 to 9.0.

Iron: - Dissolved iron is kept suspended in solution, decreasing exposure to air. This helps the iron from dropping out and causing staining and discoloration.
NOTE;- Hardness must be < 250 ppm. Iron < 1 ppm, pH of 6.5 to 9.0.

Corrosion: - A protective coating is formed on all metal surfaces, this coating will reduce corrosion by acidity, alkalinity and chloride turbulence.
NOTE;- Hardness must be < 250 ppm. Iron < 1 ppm, pH of 6.5 9.0.

CLERIFY

Clerify is a unique media construction design for removing dissolved and dispersed hydrocarbons efficiently from water. When manufactured into a cartridge format clerify will adsorb three times its own weight before change-out is required. As the cartridge becomes exhausted flow is not affected and no hydrocarbons are released. Each pass through Clerify removes up to 95%of hydrocarbons with each 10" cartridge having a capacity of 360gm in standard size and 1290gm in   4 1/2"  (for big blue housing ).

Clerify is best suited to applications with <500ppm total hydrocarbons after coalescing or other such bulk removal, and as a cost effective polishing method.

ALL WELDED STAINLESS STELL CARTRIDGE (AWS )

(Operates at  25 bar pressuredifferenrial @ 300oC)

The AWS cartridge range is the ultimate in meeting applications requiring robustness of design for use with aggressive process fluids. Being wholly constructed of all 316L FDA stainless steel, the pleated woven media, support core and fitting are TIG welded introducing no other material. This enables AWS cartridges to be cleaned  by means of reverse flow, chemical, ultrasonic and high temperature burn-out (instructions available) making an economical alternative to conventional polymeric cartridges where environmental issues prevent disposal (clarwick offers a return  service for ultrasonic  cartridge cleaning). Operating conditions are superior at -150oC to +300oC and up to 25 bar differential pressure.

Each cartridge is integrity tested by bubble point in IPA  with data proivided at despatch together with a unique identification number.

STAINLESS STEEL MESH CARTRIDGE ( SMC )

(Strong, high flow, high temperature construction)

Designed for maximum economy through cleaning and capable of operating at 120oC, SMC cartridges are manufactured from 304 stainless steel mesh which is supplied either rolled as a wrapped cylinder or pleated for maximum surface area. In both cases the mesh is supported by an inner perforated steel core which is also used as an outer sleeve on the pleated cartridges. These items are permanently potted with epoxy resin  into stainless steel end-caps onto which are seated buna-n (standard ) sealing gaskets. All mesh seams are stitch welded.
